The Single Parent Network is a community organization, headquartered in Charlotte, NC. However, you do not have to be a "single" parent to join us!  We believe that support should be accessible to families regardless of the presence or absence of a parent in the home, as every family deserves the resources they need to thrive. The Single Parent Network provides support not only to single parents raising children but also to adults who are caring for their aging parents, fostering a community of family across all generations.

The Single Parent Network is more than just a members-only organization—it’s an extended family you can count on. Life as a single parent can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you need someone to watch your child while you run errands, help navigating a tricky school situation, or support checking on an elderly parent in another state, we’ve got you covered.

We’re here to create a true community: a network of parents helping parents. We babysit for each other on date nights, provide emotional and physical support when you need someone by your side, and step up in emergencies. From helping your parents with apps like Uber or Netflix to throwing a birthday party for your child when you don’t have anyone else to invite, we’re here to make life feel a little less lonely and a lot more connected.

We also host family-friendly events, holiday dinners, and support gatherings to ensure no one has to celebrate alone. Our mission is to show up for one another, creating a culture of care and support where everyone feels valued and included.

Charlotte is home to several amazing programs, many of which provide overlapping services. With that in mind, we focus on areas where we can make the greatest impact without duplicating efforts. Here are a few services already offered by other programs:

• Crisis Assistance Ministry: Provides help with rent and utilities.
• Department of Social Services: Offers medical benefits, food assistance, child support registration and enforcement, foster care, housing, and more.
• Goodwill: Specializes in skills training and job placement assistance.

Because these essential needs are covered by other organizations, our support services are centered on offering something truly unique: being a trusted source of emotional and practical support for families when they feel like they have no one else to turn to. We’re building a network of people you can rely on when you need help the most.
